First Baptist Church of Liberty
First Baptist Church of Liberty Hill was established in 1854, when Zion Baptist Church and the Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church of Christ merged. They met in Silent Grove School and moved and organized in Liberty Hill somewhere around 1882. First Baptist has had a long and extensive history of service and outreach to the community of Liberty Hill. Through out there history, a core of members has retained a vision of sharing the message of Christ’s love to those around them. This vision has launched missionaries, churches and ministries that have radically influenced live for the Gospel.
In 2009, the congregation of First Baptist Church of Liberty Hill began seeking God’s direction in how they could continue on the heritage of First while honoring the mission of it’s current members and their goal of building disciples who love Christ and love others here in Liberty Hill. In 2010, First Baptist decided to launch itself as a new church plant, The Hill Community Church.
